OIR includes Workplace Health and Safety Queensland, the Electrical Safety Office, and the Workers' Compensation Regulator (formerly Q-COMP). WorkCover Queensland is an independent government owned statutory body. Both organisations report to Queensland's Minister for Employment and Industrial Relations. To make it easier for Queenslanders to get information about safety and workers' compensation issues, they combined their websites and now provide a single contact point.
