About our Research

Every year, thousands of school principals across Australia take part in our survey—answering questions about their workload, their mental and physical health, their relationships at work, and their overall sense of wellbeing. This project is one of the largest and longest-running studies of its kind in the world, and has been tracking the health of Australian school leaders annually since 2011.

Our goal is to understand what school leaders are really experiencing, and to use that evidence to drive meaningful change in how they are supported.

The survey covers a wide range of areas—from the everyday pressures of the job and workplace relationships, to sleep, stress, burnout, and overall quality of life.

Participants receive a personalised wellbeing report at the end of the survey, giving them immediate and private insight into their own health profile.

The data we collect each year is rigorously analysed by our research team and translated into publicly available reports that speak directly to policymakers, school systems, and principal associations.

Our aim is not just to measure the problem—but to help solve it.
